New AGNR The new centralized calendar is working that includes college, Extension and departmental events is now live on all of sites now. It allow editors allows those with Event Editor permission status to create recurring events events - including those that are recurring - and edit their own event. Current content editors can submit request to be an Event Editor. Please navigate to https://agnr.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3 (choose Request a website account , put and place a note that you want to be an Event Editor)

Event editors Once your Event Editor status is approved, you will need to log into the main AGNR site as a first step to creating or and submitting events if they want to be able to , and also to manage the events they you create. Steps Your steps are as followingfollows:

  1. Log into https://agnr.umd.edu/user

  2. In the admin bar, go to to Content > Add Content > Event and create the new event

    1. Add your event content as usual. Please note Event Summary the “event summary” will not show up on the webpage. Event Description published event page. The “event description” will display as major the content on the event page.

    2. Add the date in Details“Details”. You can also add more dates or generate multiple dates.

    4. Choose filters so viewer can filter the events accordingly.

    5. LastFinally, you can add notes to yourself or to the admin. Save the event, but it will not be published yet. Admin An admin (Laura, Andrew or Graham) will approve it then you will be able to edit it.

  3. Click Content Back in the admin bar, click content to see a list of all content to be able find events and edit them.

The Submit Event button on the event page is still working. But if you submit an event through the button, you can’t edit the event in the future. Unless , unless you inform an admin to assign that event to you.
