Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccinations are required for all students, faculty and staff, and vaccine boosters are required within 14 days of becoming eligible. Additional requirements apply to those who are not up-to-date with their vaccine. Upload vaccine and booster information at www.myuhc.umd.edu.
Masks: Wearing a mask indoors is required for everyone, regardless of vaccination status. KN95 masks are required in classrooms and recommended everywhere. There are additional situations when masks may be required. Effective Monday, February 28, the indoor mask mandate will lift on campus for all faculty, staff, students, and visitors, with a few notable exceptions.
Testing: Students, faculty and staff who are up-to-date with their vaccines do not need to be tested regularly. Community members who are unvaccinated or not up-to-date with their vaccine booster need to be tested twice once weekly regardless of exemption status.
Pledge: All faculty, staff and students must sign the I AM #4Maryland pledge to abide by all health protocols.
Special Health Conditions: Individuals with a weakened or compromised immune system may need to continue to take precautions to maximally protect themselves.
Travel: The university’s travel guidance currently allows essential and non-essential travel within the United States, depending on your vaccination status. Restrictions are still in place for international travel.
