🆕 The latest COVID-19 updates for UMD faculty, staff, and students
Current Status: Spring 2022
Vaccination:COVID-19 vaccinations are required for all students, faculty and staff, and vaccine boosters are required within 14 days of becoming eligible. Additional requirements apply to those who are not up-to-date with their vaccine. Upload vaccine and booster information at www.myuhc.umd.edu.
Masks: Wearing a mask indoors is required for everyone, regardless of vaccination status. KN95 masks are required in classrooms and recommended everywhere. There are additional situations when masks may be required.
Testing:Students, faculty and staff who are up-to-date with their vaccines do not need to be tested regularly. Community members who are unvaccinated or not up-to-date with their vaccine booster need to be tested twice weekly regardless of exemption status.
Pledge:All faculty, staff and students must sign the I AM #4Maryland pledge to abide by all health protocols.
Special Health Conditions: Individuals with a weakened or compromised immune system may need to continue to take precautions to maximally protect themselves.
Travel:The university’s travel guidance currently allows essential and non-essential travel within the United States, depending on your vaccination status. Restrictions are still in place for international travel.
